STATUS: NOT CHARGING. Government has backed an investment-led Clean Air Plan with no charges to drive on local roads (electric buses, cleaner taxis, regional-centre measures). GOV.UK removed Greater Manchester from its CAZ list on 18 February 2025 'following the completion of review and agreement to a non-charging plan'. The previously planned Class C CAZ (from 30 May 2022) never charged.
