West Midlands: the toll motorway north of Birmingham, bypassing the M6 between junction 3a (near Coleshill) and junction 11a (near Cannock)
Who pays
Drivers of all motor vehicles, including motorbikes. Liveried emergency vehicles, military vehicles on duty and approved Mobility Exemption Pass holders are exempt.
When it applies
Always. The road is open 24 hours a day, every day, and prices do not vary by time of day.

Discounts and exemptions
- breeze account: discounts of up to 42% and use of the 'b' lanes
- lite account: no deposit, standard prices, lets you use the 'b' lanes without stopping
- Mobility Exemption Pass for eligible disabled people (£7 admin charge a year); a Blue Badge alone does not qualify
- Liveried emergency vehicles and Ministry of Defence vehicles on duty are exempt
How to pay
Pay at the toll plaza barrier by contactless or chip debit/credit card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, or a fuel card. Cash is not listed as a payment method. Account holders (breeze, lite, fleet) pass through using number-plate recognition or a tag.
Payment deadline
Pay at the booth. If you cannot pay, press 'call for assistance' to get a Payment Notice, then pay it online within 6 days of the trip being validated.
If you don't pay
Unpaid Payment Notices attract additional charges of at least £70 after 6 days, then go to a debt recovery agency.
Good to know
The operator says prices are usually reviewed every quarter, so check before travelling. Payment Notices are settled online at https://www.m6toll.co.uk/payment-notice/. The main plazas are between T6 and T7 (northbound) and T4 and T3 (southbound); junction plazas are at T3–T6 exits.
